Common, indigenous

Description
Slender, up to 35 mm long. Prostomium pointed. Thorax with 21 – 24 chaetigers. Branchiae start on chaetiger 6, towards mid-dorsum. Abdominal neuropodial bilobed, neurochaetae with tapered tips.

Ecology
Intertidal, sediment. Common in effluent outflow paths from on-shore abalone farms.

Distribution
From south Western Cape (type locality False Bay) to Mozambique
